“Faith is a lone journey indeed, but you don’t have to walk it alone” – Peju.
Peju Ojemuyiwa
I’m an Immigration and Compliance consultant and a life coach. I have been creating solutions for individuals and businesses, and coaching women to be the best they can be for over a decade. I am passionate about helping people and creating solutions that meet needs and enhances quality of life.
After my diagnosis in May 2020 of primary breast cancer, I had a vision to support other individuals who has/has had a cancer diagnosis. It is my sincere prayer that through this journey together, many cancer patients and their caregivers will receive hope. I pray you will find encouragement with us too.
Mission Statement
The Secret Place UK is a Christian Cancer Support organisation made up of cancer survivors and their families and friends extending a helping hand to other cancer patients and their families, both in the church and in the community.
Founded by Peju Ojemuyiwa. Our aim is to offer prayer, spiritual and practical support to cancer patients, their carers and friends. Our mission is to walk alongside people whose lives have been affected by cancer, and to support them with God’s love. Currently, we offer monthly zoom meetings, prayer and practical support. Post Covid, we will offer prayer groups and retreats as a time to reflect, pray and be encouraged.
In May 2020, Peju was diagnosed with primary breast cancer. She was supported with prayers by her local church pastors and other close Christian friends, a support ring which proved to be a wonderful source of spiritual and emotional help during the diagnosis and treatment and life after diagnosis.
Our key scripture basis is:-
‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God’ (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
Our goal is to comfort others in their journey and helping them to experience the love of God and peace in the storm.
Through Praying, Caring and Sharing, we help to bring faith, hope and love to those living with cancer with an emphasis on uplifting the spirit, encouraging one another and experiencing the love of God.
The meetings have a Christian basis and are open to All cancer patients and their carers whether or not they have a Christian faith.
We believe and trust that God will minister to all who attends and come into contact with us and we will pray for healing and recovery whilst recognising the realities of a cancer diagnosis and the need to support those who are permanently or terminally ill.
